Innovative company reaps rewards with foreign sales

A small but forward-thinking engineering company is proving to be very successful due to its innovative products and impressive export sales, according to one news provider, and it could be showing the way for companies using sales recruitment.

The BBC reported on the success that Kilkeel-based Thompson Aero Seating has seen, stating that the company has managed to capture £1.6m in engineering contracts from a number of world airlines, which all want its seating designs.

Northern Ireland enterprise minister Arlene Foster told the corporation that the company has managed to secure the impressive export sales and create new roles due to its quality products.

She said: "The products designed are highly innovative and have the potential to revolutionise the global civil aircraft seating market, generating over $34m in export sales."

The success of Thompson Aero as an exporter has been seen across the UK with the recent Markit purchasing managers' index showing that some businesses are struggling to cope with foreign sales demands.
