Jobseekers 'need to attend three interviews'
Around two-thirds of people hunting for jobs will find they have to attend three interviews with prospective employers before finding a placement, according to new research.
The message for sales jobs hunters is not to lose heart, with the Right Management survey showing that almost 60 per cent of all job applicants needing to go through the process three times before being selected.
One in five have been asked to take part in at least four interviews, with that proportion rising to 50 per cent among older people - those aged over 55 - compared to just 18 per cent of job hopefuls between the ages of 25 and 34.
To find that ideal sales recruitment post, job hunters need to ensure they are tenacious and that they do their homework beforehand.
Mike Hammond, a global recruiting manager with Enterprise, recently told Kentucky.com that the key to every single interview is for applicants to "prepare, prepare, prepare".
