Thief caught minutes after applying for sales jobs

A thief was caught stealing tracksuits from a sports shop just moments after handing in his CV.

STV.tv reported that the teenager went into the JJB store in Aberdeen hoping for sales recruitment success and gave a member of staff his CV.

The youth is then understood to have changed into two tracksuits in the locker rooms before fleeing.

Staff spotted the youngster leaving the store and passed his details, which were printed clearly on the CV, onto the police who easily tracked him down.

A source told the source that this was a "brazen attempt" to steal something from the store.

"It's unfortunate for the kid that he left his details before he went. It did not take police long to trace him at all. Perhaps he thought he had a better chance of getting a job if he sported some of JJB's own merchandise at the interview," the representative added.

Jobmob.co.il added that CV mistakes are not uncommon, with one person stating the reason for his three-month gap in employment was to get over the death of his cat.
