Personalising CVs 'key to obtaining dream sales jobs'

Sales jobs applicants must ensure they personalise their CVs if they are to have the highest chance of getting the position.

Margaret Holbrough, careers advisor at London South Bank University, said that this needs a "real effort" and all material should be targeted for the sales jobs vacancy.

She advised that this will mean altering the profile statement and skills profile to make it obvious that this has been done for their benefit.

"[It] should reflect the requirements of the organisation as described in the advert or company website and provide evidence from actual events/experiences that they have what the company is looking for," she stated.

Ms Holbrough highlighted the importance of candidates identifying a unique selling point for work in sales jobs and using this to prove their suitability.
