Sales recruitment: Only the top candidates will do

When companies are recruiting for sales jobs they need to make sure there is no compromise when searching for the ideal candidate as an incorrect choice could be costly, according to one website.

ManagementToday.co.uk gave its top tips to firms looking to recruit the best staff and said that securing a new worker who has genuine enthusiasm for the position and the right skill set is crucial.

It stated: "Don't feel compelled to recruit someone if they don’t have the right skill set for your organisation. Consider the impact on existing colleagues of having the wrong person in a post."

The website added that during the recruitment process the organisation should not oversell itself as this could increase the risk of new employees feeling disillusioned once they join.

Mount Juliet Jobs website recently recommended that candidates going for sales jobs need to be assertive in interviews and not be afraid to find out what will be expected from them in the role.
