Recruitment outsourcing encouraged
Outsourcing staff recruitment can help free up Human Resource's (HR) time to concentrate on other things, according to one expert.
Enlisting the help of an agency, such as a sales recruitment consultancy, is not necessarily advisable for professions that are inherently risk adverse, claimed Sian Thomas, deputy director of NHS Employers.
She told the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (Cipd) that "outsourcing works if there is an internal change management process".
Ms Thomas added that she couldn't understand why more firms didn't outsource.
Meanwhile, research by the online recruitment strategy Electronic Staff Record resulted in 95 per cent of applications being received online.
Recently, the Trafford Centre in Manchester has begun to recruit new staff online, moving 50 per cent of applications to an online database.
Trafford Centre HR manager Amanda Wilson told IT Pro that the online system is "easier to manage".
Aaron Wallis are a Milton Keynes Sales Recruitment agency with a unique service offering that includes 12 months rebate. Psychometric profiling and online skills testing are also included within a fixed recruitment price.
