Area Sales Manager, Commercial Modular Buildings

Area Sales Manager, Commercial Modular Buildings, Upto £35,000 Basic (negotiable based upon experience), £75,000 OTE + Car + Benefits. This is a fantastic business development role with the market leading manufacturer of long-standing temporary modular buildings. Looking after the niches of logistics, ports, airports and industrial the role is selling semi-permanent structures that are often in situ for over 60 years. As such the projects are high value and this is a hugely varied and responsible position that is ideal for a consummate professional with a myriad of commercial skills. The commission scheme is uncapped and based upon £2M of sales (your expected target with average order values of in excess of £150K and inheriting an existing pipeline) your annual earnings will be £75K.

To apply you must have experience within the sales of modular structures or temporary buildings or with experience of winning capital intensive projects within construction and or engineering. You will have experience in securing 'big ticket sales' in a commercial capacity and be the kind of individual that has always wanted to be an expert in their field. As such you will push yourself to absorb as much information as possible to become a leading authority in your field and in time deliver seminars and lectures on semi permanent modular buildings.

The role is a combination of new business and account management and to apply you will be commercially creative and have an innate ability to spot business opportunities. You will be self driven, tenacious and the kind of person that has a reputation for diligently making sure that every avenue of opportunity is maximised. You will be an excellent communicator with exceptional networking skills, a natural gravitas and credibility and highly-developed and diplomatic negotiating skills. You will be approachable yet independent and have highly levels of compliance (systems, processes, tender submission etc). You will have the commercial tenacity to develop and execute a sales strategy to win major corporate and potentially public sector business, and be well versed in bids and tender processes, writing winning proposals and leading a team to victorious bids.
