International Sales Manager, Flooring

International Sales Manager, Flooring - EMEA, India and Far East. Upto £45,000 Basic + Bonus + Car + full corporate benefits scheme. A flooring division of one of the UK's largest construction materials businesses is looking to recruit an International Sales Manager or Export Sales Manager to work with international distributors supporting large deals. Winning business based upon both quality and price the ideal candidate will understand specification sales and have international sales experience selling partitioning, flooring, curtain walling or similar. The role is covering Europe, the Middle East, India and the Far East but will be based from the UK. This area will be shared with another International Sales Manager and the exact split will be decided based upon your specific market knowledge, cultural commercial awareness and possibly languages. The role is UK based and you will ideally be situated close to a major International airport.

Selling a wide range of flooring through local agents and distributors this is an excellent opportunity for a professional export sales manager with at least 5 years experience of selling construction materials. To apply you will be structured, disciplined and the kind of person that develops relationships to ensure that business is maximised through agents and distributors. You will be willing to spend 30% plus of your working time abroad and have experience of managing local agents and/or distributor networks including hiring, firing, managing, mentoring, motivating, etc. You will be familiar with export processes, documentation, etc. and have a good understanding of doing business across a wide and diverse range of business cultures

You must have above average IT skills and ideally be used to working with CRM software. You will be a strong negotiator and manager of people with outstanding communication skills and commercial acumen. You will have excellent organisational and planning skills and have the ability to manage several concurrent protects.
